Our exclusive Lake rental property provides guests with a peaceful and relaxing lake vacation experience that can be enjoyed any time of year. Moosehead Lake Maine Fishing Vacations and Ice Fishing

The Cozy Moose lakeside vacation property features a waterfront dock that is available for our lodging guests for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Motor boat rentals, are available by the day or the week allowing you to explore our Maine Lake at your leisure. Many guests enjoy ice fishing at our lakefront location throughout the winter season. Maine fishing at our watefront location is best right after ice-out on Moosehead Lake which generally occurs late April to Mid May, great fishing opportunities exist throughout the season. Private guided fishing trips for up to 4 people stat at $200.00 aboard a fully equipped 23' Cuddy Cabin with a registered Master Maine Guide. Moosehead Lake fishing trips are a must do if you enjoy fishing and require advance reservations to ensure availability. Troll for land-locked salmon, and lake trout and brook trout. Early morning trips depart at 7am and afternoon trips depart at 3pm. Bring warm clothing, snacks and drinks. Maine fishing licenses are required and are available in town.

  1. Old Town 14ft. Kayak- The Loon Edition (maximum occupancy: 2 persons)
  2. Old Town 14ft. or 17ft. Canoe (maximum occupancy: 3 persons; weight limit: 600 lb.)
  3. Pontoon Boats, Motor boats and personal watercraft rentals, jet skis, and jet boats available. Advance reservations required to ensure availability.

canoe rentals on Moosehead LakeReservation Rental Rates and Terms

  1. Lakeside Canoeing and Kayaking- Canoe and Kayak Rentals- Rates: $30.00 per Day/$120.00 per Week.
  2. Kayak Tours are available through Maine Kayak offers guests half day trips beginning at 9am and full day trips for all ages and abilities. Instructor Ratio 6:1- Advance reservations required.
  3. Motorboats, pontoon boats, personal watercraft rentals, and jet skis are also available.
  4. Moosehead Lake, free docking and trailer parking available at The Cozy Moose. Be advised that docking is at your own risk type situation.
  5. Boats, canoes, kayaks, and snowmobile rentals are not included in lodging rental fees unless specified. Please do not play on the equipment without a rental agreement. Sorry, no refunds for rental equipment within 30 days of date(s) reserved.
  6. Boat rentals are subject to availability. Please call ahead to make arrangements to reserve your boat rental during your Cozy Moose vacation.
  7. Boats will be left at the shoreline for your use throughout your stay. Paddles and life jackets are provided with reserved rentals. For your safety, all boats must be returned to The Cozy Moose by sundown each day.
  8. Please exercise caution while boating, as Moosehead Lake contains rocks and other hazards.
  9. Maps of Moosehead Lake are available to help you find your way on the water.
